The GREAT OUTDOORS
Brief: Create an interactive activity for a Children’s Nature Day at the Civic Trust in Gloucester.
This project was developed shortly after the COVID-19 lockdowns, a period during which many young children had limited opportunities to experience and engage with the natural environment.
To encourage exploration and learning, I designed a fun and interactive bird finding virtual experience using a Ricoh Theta Z1 camera, which captures 360 degree photographs. The images were taken in a local park in Barnwood, Gloucester, and were stitched together using 3DVista software. The final outcome was an immersive environment that allows children to discover nature in an engaging and accessible way.
