VARSITY
Varsity is one of the Students’ Union’s biggest annual sporting events, bringing together students, teams, and supporters from across the university of Gloucester and the University of Worcetser. For this project, I was tasked with refreshing the event branding while staying true to the existing guidelines and identity. Working across social media, posters, merchandise, and video, I created a range of assets that helped build excitement around the event and maintain a consistent visual style throughout the campaign. The project was a chance to balance creativity with brand consistency, finding new ways to keep the event feeling fresh while staying true to its established identity.
BRANDING
Refreshed the Varsity logo, modernising the design while staying true to its original identity and colour pallette.

Social Media
Designed all social media content for the campaign, including posts, stories, and reels, using photography that I captured myself.

Physical
Promotion
Designed posters, leaflets, and collectible trading cards to promote the event. Featuring current student athletes throughout the designs helped generate excitement and create a stronger connection with the audience.

WEB DESIGN
Designed and maintained the Varsity event webpage, ensuring fixture schedules, event information, and ticketing links were kept up to date throughout the campaign. The website acted as a central hub for students to access key information before and during the event. I also digitised the trading cards, transforming them into an interactive online feature that enhanced user engagement and extended the campaign beyond its printed materials.

Merch
Designed the official Varsity t-shirt, which was worn and sold throughout the event. The design extended the campaign branding into merchandise, creating a strong and recognisable presence across the competition.

Varsity
Photos
During the event, I captured photography and video of the matches, documenting key moments and the overall atmosphere. The content was used both for event coverage and as a valuable asset library for future Varsity marketing campaigns.
